THE BIG FAMILY CAMPOUT!

We went up to my sisters and brother-in-laws family cabin for the weekend for a family camp out and family photo.
We arrived Friday night around 9. My brother set up one of our tents and we bought another one…our family is just too big for one! After that we sat by the fire and tried to do the one word story around the circle…it was pretty fun with ages 5-57 playing makes it real interesting.
We woke up the next morning made breakfast and the kids played in the river and floated down it. Some jumped into the “hole”. It took their breath away but they did again…
After lunch around 3 it was time to start getting ready for the BIG family picture. Yes everyone in my family, my parents, and siblings and their families! It was quite interesting trying to get about 35 people ready in a one bathroom cabin. But we did it!
After the family photo we ate Dutch oven dinner! Chicken, Potatoes, and Cobbler! How come when you camp all you feel like you do is eat n eat n eat! I made a butt load of muddy buddies and they were all gone in about 5 hours of everyone munching on them. My sister made a really big 7 layer dip and it was gone in about 15 minutes…we must have been hungry! It was all really good yummy food!
Sunday, we all started packing up…kids played in the river again. We had a bunch of fun being together as a family and just hanging out! Can’t wait to do it again next year!

LOVER BOY!

Here is the sweeetest thing my husband has said to me within the last 5 minutes...
He probably hates it when I put things like this on here but I just want the world to know how good he is to me!

Andrew email:
"There is this poem I have for you.
I’ve been thinking about it and working on it.
Every time I see your smile, my heart adds another line to the poem

I don’t have much of it put to words, but… it is there and my heart weaves the poem and changes the words day to day.

Most of the time I struggle with what I am more in love with, or what my heart sighs over most, and then I see a different smile from you that I haven’t seen in awhile and the poem changes again,
Or I see how cute you are with Kamri, or I see you snuggling in the morning, trying to get a few last wink or two in before you wake up. Sometimes your hair is all a mess and you just look so cute and cuddly, it is hard to get out of bed when I just want to hold you and stare at you, wondering if I am just having a really good dream.

Anyway, just thought you should know that I am so in love with you.
You are my everything."

How do you compete with something so perfect? You can't. No words can say what I feel for him! He just needs to know it is me so much more! I love you so very much!

WALKING AT 9 MONTHS OLD!!!

So our little fairy princess cannot only stand on her own she is now walking...she can walk about 10 ft or so and everyday she keeps getting better. She will walk and then get so excited she will stop and clap for herself at that point she usually falls down but she is so happy. It is quite funny. She loves for me to hold her and point her in the direction of her favorite person...her Daddy! She loves to walk to her Daddy! Yep that is right people she is still a daddy's girl...nothing has changed. She would rather have her Dad than anyone else! She also has started the jibber jabber. She will just go on and on about jibberish! Anycia has taught her that when we hand her a cell phone to say hi and the jibberish starts. But if someone talks on the other side of the phone she stops to look at it and doesn't know what is going on. She is a funny girl. She will laugh just because you are laughing. She will eat pretty much anything.
So I had typed this and forgot to finish it. So today is July 18, 2008 and Kamri is walking EVERYWHERE! She is all over the place. She will even climb stairs. She is fearless, she just wants to be with the big kids. When we are outside she tries to walk across the road to our neighbors to see their dog, Daisy. She is a animal lover...especially dogs. She even tries to say "roof, roof!" Its is awfully cute. When people see her walking they ask if she is 12 months old...I tell them "nope only 9 1/2 months!" and they gasp and say "no way that is amazing!" Andy has called her SUPER BABY since she was born and she sure is our little super baby and we all love her so very much! She brings so much joy and happiness to our family. She ties us all together!

Kamri's 9 month photos!

Oh So Cute! She sat and posed! She was so good!
She stood and posed too!
Pretty Flower!
My little Fairy Princess!
Precious!
Cheese!
Adorable Fairy!
I had the fairy costume and hadn't gotten her photos taken yet. I would have taken them myself but I don't have lighting or back drops yet and if I tried outside she would just play with all the grass and not look at me to smile. So anyways, I had the fairy costume and had not used it yet so I decided to take it too! I think they turned out cute.
I think she looks like me, but has Andy's nose. It was lots of fun and she was super super good for me! So glad we went!

Jadyn's 6th Birthday!

A homemade cake...lovely isn't it?
Jadyn unwrapping her presents and getting help by her brother and cousins.
Kamri and Halle trying to wake up Ella. They were pulling her feet and her arms trying to wake her up. It was really cute.

Kamri loves her Lasagna!

I was gone to the gym and Andrew was getting ready to feed Kamri Lasagna for dinner. So when I came home these are the photos that I was shown. Thank goodness my hubby is a sweetie and cleaned up the mess too!

He said she was hilarious shoving her face full of the noodles and have a blast! He said it was so cute and funny! In this photo you can see her two bottom teeth and her one fang tooth. She has 4 teeth all together, 2 bottom and 2 fangs...was a CUTIE PIE! My little vampire!

Bike Riding and Running!

Our nightly ritual is going on a short bike ride. Andy, Kamri and I, AJ, McKade, and Jadyn all hop on our bikes and go around our neighborhood on a bike ride. Kamri loves to be on the back of my bike (baby seat). She hates being in the stroller but loves the bike...so I get some exercise.
I have been a slacker on running to get ready for the half marathon in August. Yes, August 9th is my half marathon and I have not run since my triathlon. Summer hit and I have not had one free moment to run, unless I get up at 5am...I sure wish I was a morning person, but unfortunately I stay in bed as long as I possibly can. Kamri still wakes up in the night so I am super tired. One day I will have a full nights sleep....one day! So I need to get my butt in gear and start running again!

Ball Games

Jadyn tried to take a photo of us watching the ball games!
Kamri and Jadyn watching games just chillin' in the super hot sun!
Kamri watching the games. Ok, not really she was watching the family next to us! She loves to watch others like her big sister Jadyn. They are mesmerized by others!

Purty Pink Flowers!

These were the only Flowers in my entire yard...
and now they are dead, but they were purty pink flowers!

Andy's Golf Tournament

My husband is gone again! GOLFING! Surprise, surprise! Just kidding. I know he loves to do it and it is a good sport/hobby for him! He goes to Vernal for this tournament almost every year. He does well in it and usually wins something. YOU GO BABE, KICK SOME BUTT!

Coach Pitch and T-Ball Started this week

So Andy is gone for a week and Coach Pitch started for Kade and he is the coach. T-ball started for Jadyn and I am the coach. So it has been CRAZY! I asked my brother to help coach because the game wouldn't be over before Jadyn's started. So we were running around like mad on Monday night. I absolutely dislike coaching T-Ball...main reason it is so unstructured. You have little kids that are to little to be playing but since big brother is playing they think little brother should. Anyways I have this kid named Conner on my team. His older brother Andrew is on it too. So we are up to bat and they are in line to do it, but Conner won't listen and when the ball is hit he runs after it to get it even though we are up to bat. I tell him after every batter to sit here because it is not our turn to get the ball...his Dad tells him...but he still runs after it. His turn to bat and he hits it and chases the ball. He doesn't run to the base. So we finally get him on base and the ball was hit again and he goes to get it when he should be running to 2ND. Anyways it was quite funny yet so frustrating. Oh yeah we were getting rained on this whole time because the other coach was so gung-ho about playing...big loser, they are 5 and FREEZING! The game today was cancelled because of rain and I am so thankful...my kids were really disappointed but I wasn't...bad mom I know. Just couldn't help but feel relieved!

A little BBQ with the Cousins and Update

Chelsea and Anna
Matt, Donovan, and Kamri
Matt (Andy's Brother), Chelsea, and their twins, Anna and Donovan came over on Saturday night for a little BBQ. It was fun, but what was more fun was seeing Kamri with them. She wanted to grab them and take their toys and play with them. She didn't know what to think at first because there was two of them...but she got used to it and loved every minute of it. When she first saw Anna, were telling her say hi Anna, say hi Anna, we said it a few times and I swear she said it...she said Anna...I heard it, Anycia heard it, Chelsea heard it, and Matt heard it. It was the weirdest thing...she never said it again but she did say it!
She has cousins on both sides of the family her age and she will have fun growing up with them.

Kamri is 8 months old and is very very mobile...she will walk from furniture to furniture holding on and she will stand on her own...soon she will be walking and then we will be in trouble. She has learned a new game. She has this little bucket and she will crawl to it and push it on the wood floor and then crawl to it and push it again and so forth...it is really cute! Kind of funny to watch.

McKade and Jadyn get to stay home for the summer and get babysat by AJ and Anycia. They are so excited that they don't have to go to daycare. They will get to ride bikes and play with neighbors. We got season passes to Seven Peaks so I took them on Friday (forgot the camera) it was perfect weather and not many people there so not many lines! Which made it even better! We had lots of fun but I got fried on my back...tried to have Jadyn, my 5 1/2 year old, put sunblock on, but that doesn't work well...oh well, learned my lesson! They start Coach Pitch and T-Ball tonight. It ought to be tons of fun!

Anycia just got back from being with her Mom for a week. She had fun and enjoys being with her mom, step siblings, and Grandparents.

AJ just got done at EFY for the week and he will be back up to spend the summer with us this weekend.

Andy Gone for a Week to Florida

Andrew is gone for a week to HOT HUMID Orlando, Florida for a conference! I tried to make it sound horrible because I wish I was there with him for a little vacation, but, nope, I got to stay home to be with kids and work! Oh well maybe next year.
I sure do miss him when he is gone...maybe I am just a little whupped? Can't wait for Friday to come and I get to pick him up at the airport! It can't come fast enough!
Love you, Babe, hope you have fun!

WOMEN OF STEEL TRIATHLON!

Mari, 10 weeks after having her baby! GO MARI! (she kicked my butt)
Erin, the fitness guru who got this all started!
Megan and I turning for a photo because they missed us coming in!
Beverly Visentin tranistions to go biking!
The hubby and daughter supporting me!
Tricia getting high five from daughterm, Alex, son Andrue in back watching!
Amy coming in to finish! (she was crying)

The whole clan!
Me going to transition to run!
My mom...her helmet didn't fit her right!

Andy was kind enough to let me have a girls night out with those who were doing the triathlon. We met at my sister, Erin’s house to load up the bikes and take off for our adventure…we ate at the pizza factory and had pasta for our carbs. We then went to check-in and get our packets and look at the pool and drive the course. It seemed like the bike loop was forever long and we had to do it twice. The loop was up hill on one side flat across and then down hill, pretty nerve racking. We then went to target for those of us that forgot a few things like a long sleeved top just in case it was cold. We spent a good 1 ½ hours in there just piddling around. Then we went and checked into our hotel, we had to carry our bikes up the stairs so they wouldn’t get stolen. We started getting ready for bed and laughing and goofing off. We bought bandanna’s for us to wear so we had something to look like each other…but none of my sisters knew how to put it on…so I had to teach them…it was quite funny. After laying in bed and talking and giggling and talking some more we finally went sleep about 11:30 or so. Then the lovely train horn went off around 5…my sisters said it went off earlier but I didn’t hear it.

We got up to get ready, went down for half a bagel and left for the event. We arrived with bells on setting up our transition area, got our numbers tattooed on us and got our racing chip. We then stripped to our bathing suits and walked over to the pool…it wasn’t very cold at all…Megan, Mari, and I started in line at the 9 minute mark, but once we started telling people we swam the side stroke and they were laughing at us we decided to move back by my mom, sister Amy and Trish Holmes. Which we shouldn't have because we passed half the people. We might do the side stroke, but we are FAST!!! So after getting dunked under by a lady while swimming, I jumped out and went to the transition area to get ready for the bike...put my clothes on, shoes on, helmet on, and took my bike to the road to start the biking (5 minute transition...slow, slow, slow) the first loop wasn't so bad but the second one was a killer going up those hills again...got back to the transition took off my helmet, hung my bike back up and off for the run. I ran until the hills got steep then I walked up the first hill, ran again, walked up the second hill, ran until I caught up to Megan and we ran to the finish together! I would have to say this was the most fun event I have ever done...ok so I haven't done many but it was a blast! I will now do more...and more...and more!

The Women of Steel that did this event was Erin (sister, she talked us all into it), Me, Megan (sister), Marianne (sister), Amy (sister), My 57 year old Mother, Bev Visentin and Trish Holmes!

If you have ever thought about doing a triathlon this Women of Steel one is fabulous! I would recommend it to anyone and everyone! Can't wait for the next one to come along!

Oh by-the-way this triathlon consisted of 400 meter swim, 11.5 mile bike, 3 mile run!

Slacking...

I have been slacking on my blog...one reason is the tax roll at work is due on friday and we are busting our butts to get this done...another is they have blocked blogspot from our computers at work...so now I can't take a break and write or look up any. SO SAD!
Recently we have had our water line break...Andy went to turn on the water for our sprinklers and I guess he is HEMAN because he broke the pipe! Water came gushing out and we had to call Heber City Emergency water line for help. That was a Sunday night...so we were without water starting Sunday night...Monday Andrew and I stayed home to dig it up...yep we dug a whole that was about 4 ft by 4 ft...lots of work but it was fun to work together. We capped off the water line because we have to connect to secondary anyways...we waited 4 hours and tried to turn it back on but not water was coming out...then here it came...drizzling. Our pressure was gone...so we called Heber City water again and they came by and said sounds like you have pebbles and rocks in your line. You will have to call a plumber. So Tuesday rolled around without water and we finally got Roto Rooter there to help...they were dumb. We told them that we thought there were rocks in the line and it just needed cleaned out...but they were insisting that there was no pressure at all. So after they told us the options of digging up our main line and it costing oodles of money they checked the valve in our basement and sure enough there was dirt and rocks in our line...So we had running dirty water in our house...but we had water and that was SUPER!!! It all got cleaned out within an hour and we were happy campers!

Anycia went to Prom

Our little girl...I mean our big sweet 16 year old, Anycia went to Prom! She was a little nervous and scared about this being her first date and all, but I think over all it was a great experience for her. She never went on the day date because she chose to play in her soccer game instead. She went with a boy named Christian who picked her up at 8 (she looked absolutely beautiful), they went to get the other dates and went up to Daniels Summit Lodge for dinner. Came back to the dance for pictures and some dancing and then went to Christians home and watch a movie. She arrived home a little after midnight (yes she was a little late on curfew...she even called and asked to stay out until 12:30, but the mean parents we are said "SORRY!"). Anyways, she is growing up and is a beautiful young lady and we are so proud of her!

SO SAD, SO SO SAD, SO VERY SAD!

Daddy and Kamri Doodle

Kamri, my little 7 month old girl, has decided that she is going to be a Daddy's girl! She reaches for him and cries for him when he walks away and says Da Da Da Da...when she used to say Ma Ma Ma Ma and wanted me and reached for me...at least I had the first 6 months of her life where she was a Mommy's girl...but I believe I have lost her forever! It could be that the first 6 months of her life she needed me for food...maybe just maybe that is why? There are a few things I still get to do that she only lets me do...when she is tired and wants to sleep I am the one she wants to put her to sleep...so I get to cuddle her! and she likes it when I...nope she likes her Dad for that...and she likes it when I...nope she likes her Dad for that too...ok so she only wants me to put her to sleep...oh well, at least I have one thing left! I am a little jealous, but I am happy she is a Daddy's girl! Maybe if we have a little boy next he will be a Mama's boy? I highly doubt it, but maybe just maybe....

I got the BUG!!!

So I think I got the runners bug...or the exercise bug...or whatever you want to call it...I got it! It all started with the Biggest Loser my family was doing (still doing it) and my husband decided that I should set a goal and run a race...so I was training for a 5k. Then my sister Erin decides that her sisters need to do the Women of Steel Triathlon (May 17) so I am signed up and ready to go...I think. Now my next goal for me is to run the Provo River Half Marathon (August 9)...I will train for it and either finish or just lay on the side of the road and crash. My supportive husband has agreed to run it with me by my side the whole time...encouraging me as long as I will run the Swiss Days 10k, so that will be the next one! So yep I think I got it...the Bug that is!

So for all of you people who think you can't go out and run a race...you gotta try you just might get the bug!!!
