Golf Lessons

Dad decided it was time to teach Kamri how to golf. So he gave her some lessons.  She was trying to so hard to show that she could do it. She was doing great hitting the balls. It was fun to watch her. Kennedi was there too but she tried a couple times before I got the camera out and decided to go play instead. She hit the golf ball too!

July 4th, 2012

We had a great July 4th. Dad woke up and made us a lovely breakfast. He made sausage egg and cheese mcmuffin. It was delicious!
Kamri, Kennedi, and I went shoe shopping. My favorite sandals broke and I needed some new ones so of course the girls got new ones too. They got silver sparkley jeweled sandals with heels. They absolutely love them.
After we came and picked up Dad to go to the movies. We took the girls to their first movie theater to see Brave. It was lots of fun. The girls enjoyed it. Kamri got scared at the bear fighting scene and
Kennedi isn't into movies yet. She did ok but didnt really sit and watch the movie for more than 10 minutes at a time.
We took AJ, Kam, Kenn, Dad and I to Cafe Rio for dinner. Came home got our chairs and blankets and drive up to the Ridge to watch the St. George City Firework show. It was beautiful.

This is one of my favorite July 4th songs Proud to be an American (lyrics are below):
If tomorrow all the things were gone,
I’d worked for all my life.
And I had to start again,
with just my children and my wife.
I’d thank my lucky stars,
to be livin here today.
‘ Cause the flag still stands for freedom,
and they can’t take that away.
And I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.
And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘ Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.
From the lakes of Minnesota,
to the hills of Tennessee.
Across the plains of Texas,
From sea to shining sea.
From Detroit down to Houston,
and New York to L.A.
Well there's pride in every American heart,
and its time we stand and say.
That I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.
And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘ Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.
And I’m proud to be and American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.
And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘ Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.

Accidents Happen!

It was the night of Tuesday May 22, 2012 around 10:45pm. I received a phone call from AJ, whom was suppose to be at his mother’s home spending the night to supposedly take care of the little girls while his mom and step dad had a meeting early in the morning…yes we believed him! (When you are deceiving you are not receiving!) Anyways back to the phone call. I answer and he says "Hey I just got in a car accident." Now that is not something you want to hear on the other end of the call.
Andy gets his slippers on and rushes out the door to Mr. D’s Gas Station where the accident happened in the intersection. AJ was turning left and thought the car in the far right lane was turn right so he started going but the car never turned right it went straight going 40mph. He realized it and tried to correct and they hit head on! All airbags deployed in both cars. His little Subaru and her car are both totaled. Goners. Zero driving. Off to the Junk yard. AJ was unharmed and felt ok. She had a little whip lash but was ok. Thank goodness! Everyone walked away except those cars:(
Accidents do happen, yes, we all know that. But when you are not doing what is right and telling the truth there will always be something that happens! (and that my friends is the moral of the story!)

Jadyn is 10!

Jadyn has hit the double digits! She is now 10! It is amazing how times flies by! She is tall, skinny, and beautiful! She is sweet, kind, sassy, smart, and our little social butterfly! She is completely boy crazy and really likes a boy named Conner Bailey who lives in our neighborhood. She talks about him all the time! She is growing up so fast and we love her so much. Happy Birthday Jady Poo, Picky Poo, Jay Dawg, Poo, and Jay! You are a very special girl and we are so happy you are a part of our family.

Utah Summer Games

Jadyn #20 got to go play in the Utah Summer Games in Cedar City with her Dixie Dragon Soccer team. They tied 2 games and lost 2 games including the bronze medal game. She played great and had a fun time doing it. Maybe next year they can get a medal.

Ragnar 2012 - Wasatch Back Relay

Holly and I initially signed up to do the 192 mile relay from Logan to Park City.  Holly ended up dropping out because of her Rheumatoid Arthritis.  The Ragnar Relay is very popular event with teams of 12 being split into 2 vans of 6 for a 30-40 hour race spanning a day and a half.

Our van was going to be a "family" van, and even after losing a few members it was still mostly family...the newest member was Tausha Wilde, and she was so nice and easy to get a long with that it seemed like we had known her for a long time. Above is a picture of my van mates: Tausha Wilde, Erin Boyer, Megan McPhie, Trisha Holmes, and Shawn Holmes.

Below is a picture of me with my sister-in-laws Erin and Megan.

Track and Field

The schools here in St. George have a track and field day where if you win in the top 3 of your race or event then you get to go to a Hershey District Track meet. If you get in top 6 there then you move on to Region, then State, and then Nationals!
Jadyn ran the 50 meters and took 2nd in her school so she got to move on to district. Of course she had to have a running outfit and running shoes. Even though when she did it at school she was in jean shorts and regular shoes. I think she looks adorable!

Anyways, she ran at district and did great, but didn't make it in the top 6. She was a little nervous and didn't exactly start running when the gun went off. She was a little hesitant. We are really proud of her and hope next year we can help her a little more!
Great Job Jady Poo!

From the eyes of little girls!

Here are some random pics Kamri and Kennedi take when they get a hold of our cameras...
