Santa came! WAHOO! Santa came!

So Santa arrived with lots of presents for everyone. He even sent a text message on Christmas Eve to AJ and Anycia's cell phone telling all of them to get to bed because he was on his way. Santa is so so smart.
Our Christmas was lots of fun. All the kids were awake before we were. They had counted presents and compared the sizes of them. They finally came up and looked at their stockings. and then we came down to open presents. AJ, Anycia, and Andrew have this fun game they try and play...who can save their gift to the very last...Drives me CRAZY! I finally told them if they don't start opening their presents I would do it for them. Andy won the game...he usually does because he is the Dad. Kamri was much more fun this year...she liked to open presents and move to the next one.
Andrew got shoes, pants, shirt, 3 books, running socks, jacket
I got purse, shirt, cami, shoes, $100 gift card to all that stuff in the barn
Anycia got a Laptop, jacket, book, camera case, twilight CD, Bra, and matching undies.
AJ got running shoes, nike shoes, shirts, pants, pullover, hover soccer,
McKade got a bike, shoes, pants, shirt, jacket, webkinz, game, wii game
Jadyn got a bike, shoes, pants, shirt, sweater, doll, phonics game, webkinz
Kamri got a kitchen, elmo baby, 2 outfits, books, bath toy
All in all we all had a fabulous Christmas!
Santa was very generous this year and we are all so grateful and happy with what we received...well I am anyways. Here is my sexy Husband showing off a present he got from AJ. Say Cheese!
Here is AJ opening one of his presents from Santa. Under Armour half zip pullover.

Anycia opening her new Laptop...a surprise she didn't expect from Santa and us. This is her Christmas and Birthday present!
This is Jadyn's new bike with the girls on it. Kamri loved to sit on it and say VROOM VROOM.
Here is McKade with his Webkinz Bull Dog. This gift was from Kamri (Andy picked it out and I believe it was his favorite). His new bike is behind him also.

FIRST SNOW!
Here is Kamri playing the snow...she loved it. Andy was out there with her and said she would fall down and jut whimper until he would help her up.
Andy and Kamri in the first snow fall that actually stayed.
Kamri will eat and have a bath (or Bap according to her) and come back to the table and eat again if we haven't cleaned it up. She does this quite often...I think she feels like a big kid if she can do it herself on a big chair.

And the Ultrasound says...

GIRL! GIRL! GIRL!
We will be having another little girl in April! I have to admit at first I was a little sad because Andy wanted a boy (and I lost the bet)...but after thinking about it with Andy we are super excited. Kamri and this baby girl will be 19 months apart...back to back in school. So that means if they both play sports then they will together a lot of the time. They will be able to double date if they want...share clothes...and have someone to vent to about their parents!
The next step is finding a name...if there are any ideas out there let me know...we have an Anycia, Jadyn, and Kamri. Leave us a comment if you have any great names that we could use!

Birthday Boy!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Today is Andy’s real birthday! I just wanted to let him know how much I am in love with him! He is the greatest husband, Dad, and friend. He would do anything for anyone. He coaches his kids and plays with them constantly. He is always teasing them. One of his favorite things is to teach them a lesson when they are doing anything wrong…
He is a wonderful husband and without him I would be lost. He takes good care of me and my needs. He treats me with all the respect and kindness anyone could ask for. He works hard for our family to have nice things. He plays hard too. He might be 40 in numbers but at heart he is just a kid! He is so goofy and playful yet serious when he needs to be! Everyday I get to be with him I know how lucky I am to have him! He means everything to me and I am excited I get to grow old with this young fellow! He is the love of my life and the keeper of my heart!
Happy Birthday Baby! I hope you have had a memorable one!

SURPRISE! SURPRISE! SURPRISE!

It was a surprise weekend for Andy!

Soon my sweet cute adorable sexy husband will be 40 years old!

So I have been surprising him all weekend... First off his brother (Chris) and mother (Marylin) flew into town from California and Texas. About 3:30 on Friday afternoon we went to my mom's office (same building as Andy's office). I had told him I was out appraising and that I would stop by and give him a Kit Kat before I went back to the office. So I went to his office and asked if he would walk with me to my mom's office to give her some cupcake pans...he agreed. I had Chris on a chair facing a computer with his back to us. He asked my mom for help...Andy asked who it was but I just shrugged my shoulders...he tried to talk louder and ask Andy for help but he said he probably couldn't help then Chris turned around...the look on Andy's face was priceless! He said what are you doing here? and was turning bright red...then Anycia came in the office and said look who I found wondering the halls (his mom) and again he was surprised and bright red! It was great! So after we hung out for a bit at home we went to dinner. But we had more surprises for him...He had to go pick someone else up at the airport! So they left and picked up Karlean his step sister who flew in from North Carolina! Then instead of coming home they went to Wendover! Poor Andy was so exhausted he had to work the night before at the Homestead so he went 2 nights without sleep.

The next day they all slept until 2ish then just kind of hung out. So around 3 I told Andy I had to run something to Megan at a baby shower because she forgot it at her salon. That is when I ran over to help set up for his surprise party! I got a text that said "What is taking so long? Are you trying to surprise me again and I am not suppose to guess?" I just said I had to run clear out to Daniel to the shower...liar liar I know! So about six we went to dinner at the Diary Keen. I had told him my mom was watching Kamri so we could go to the movie and we needed to drop her off at the hamlet clubhouse because my parents were there at a party. So we had taken two cars to Dairy Keen so the other car could "go get tickets to the movie" and beat us to the clubhouse! By coincidence I had forgotten her bottle and we had to go home first! I really didn't mean to forget it but it worked out perfectly. So by the time we arrived at the clubhouse he saw my families cars and said "I am guessing I am suppose to come in with you?" He is such a good guesser! Anyways we had almost all my family there and his family who flew in and his Dad and brother who came from Roosevelt! and some of his close friends! We had a ton of food and lots of fun. My family is very entertaining...the kids lost all their balloons in the vaulted ceiling so the cheerleaders that my sisters are decide to put Megan up into a stunt and try and get them...she got one I think and fell on a few people. Then Anycia went up in Dave and Jake's hands and couldn't reach either. So the balloons got left behind!

Sunday we took Karleen, Marylin, and Chris to Park City to see some sights and shop at the outlets...then they were off to the airport!

All in all it was a very fun eventful weekend!

Thanks to my mom who did most of the work preparing for the party, I could not have pulled it off without you!

Thanks to my siblings for helping set up, run errands for me, and bring food!

I have a great family!

Happy (early) 40th Birthday my dear sweet hubby!! I love you so much!!
(Pictures will be coming shortly...Andy in a grass skirt, coconut bra, and a flower in his hair, ADORABLE! He was a good sport!)

Yergensen Family Blog Goes "Blackout"

My little brother is a semi-celebrity as far as Utah Football is concerned. This year is the 15th year anniversary of "The Kick". His 55 yarder against BYU in 1993 gave Utah a 34-31 win.

Go Utah!

I finally gave in...

I finally gave in to reading Twilight. I enjoyed it very much.
The whole reason I even read it...
Anycia and her friends were talking about the Twilight movie and prom party at Jordan Commons November 20th. And I was Talking with Andy about taking her and some friends to go and get a hotel room to have a girls night...So he said if you are going to do that you have to read the book or you can't go. SO that is how it all began. I went to look up to get tickets for the prom party thing and they are sold out! Oh well. I read a good book.
I, also, watched the trailer and was very disappointed with the Actors...the main actors are just horrible!
So I am sure you are asking yourselves "Why did she wait so long to read it?" Well I hate getting into a book and ignoring things around me. So the perfect time for me to read is when I work early in the mornings at the gym. Anyways, need to get the second book and finish them up!

Wasatch High Girls Soccer OVER!

We went down to Draper for Anycia's last soccer game on Wednesday. It was an inter-region game against Juan Diego Catholic High School. They were ranked 1st in their region and we were 4th. So we almost knew the outcome but we were hopeful.
We were winning one nothing, then 3 minutes into the second half they scored! I swear that always happens...anyways they held them until the end with about 5 minutes to go they scored 2 more times. So we lost 3-1.
Anycia played well and had a great season. She has one more year of High School soccer and then she will be a graduate! That is so weird to think about.
So happy it is over yet sad too. The games are always fun to watch but so time consuming and now I will hopefully get more things done! That is just wishful thinking!
GREAT JOB ANYCIA! WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU!

The New Toy!

Kamri's new thing is to put things in the toilet and slam the lid back down. Then she will peak in it again to see if it is still there. Last night I was in my bathroom combing out Jadyn's wet hair. I heard Kamri doing something with the Toilet...that is normal usually just a little toilet paper, but not this time she put a stuffed teddy bear in the toilet and then added toilet paper on top of that. You never know what kind of surprise you will find when you are going to go potty! The other great and wonderful thing about this...she usually gets toilet water all over the toilet seat...and if you aren't careful well lets just say this isn't so pleasant!
We try and keep the bathroom doors closed, but I admit I forget sometimes! Hope she grows out of this soon...

Andy does St. George (Marathon)

Last weekend we travelled down to St. George for the marathon. We had a total of six runners in Holly’s family running the race. Holly's Mom and Dad also came to support and cheer on the runners. We had a full house with 17 or 18 of us staying in the rental house with us.

The house worked out perfectly even if the weather didn't. We were able to go on bike rides in and around the golf course community and the kids had a theater room to watch movies, and everyone enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi.

Here are the rental house pictures: (click picture to see 'em bigger)

Here is a picture of all our runners:
Mari and Tyler, Erin, Andrew, Kris and Dave.

We had some interesting weather before and during the marathon as it rained the entire time. A few of us had our sunglasses on our heads, and we didn't even need them. Also, there was a head wind for much of the race. Defnitely a run to remember.

The best performance was turned in by Dave who shaved off more than an hour of his last year's time to finish right at 4:01. Dave crossed the finish line hand in hand with Kris. Erin ran her first marathon and finished a little bit before Dave and Kris at 3:59. Andrew finished at 3:44:16, and Tyler and Mari, came in around 4:45. So all in all, we had Erin and Tyler run their first ever marathons, and Andrew, Kris and Dave all got personal records. Dave, Kris and Andrew are all signed up for the Runner Series again so they will be back to run again next year, and Erin says she may try the Marathon Lottery.

Here is a picture of Andrew at the finish.

St. George Marathon

I just want to tell you all how proud of my family I am. My husband has been training for the marathon...taking time away from his family to accomplish a goal of his...3 out of 10 St. George Marathon. My brother Dave and his wife Kris, my sister Erin, my sister Mari and her husband Tyler all ran it too. They all got up bright and early to catch the 4am buses to go freeze their little tooshies off together. What I mean by that is, it was cold and raining...the whole race they got drenched! My husband the competitor always says I am not going to push it....but always does. He finished in his best time and beating his old record by 24 minutes in 3:44! I am so proud of him! Way to go Baby! Next Erin, my fitness sister and her first (and probably only marathon) finished in 3:59! Awesome for your first marathon. Dave and Kris right behind her with a 4:01 finish (they signed up again with Andy!). Mari and Ty came in at 4:40. This was Tyler's first marathon too...very impressed! I am so proud of all of them. Running 26.2 miles is just a crazy thought to me. I promised Andy I would do one and I mean one...I will do halves, 10k, and 5k, but marathons are just complete craziness! There were actually 3 people over the age of 80 that ran...can you believe that? Andy will have to write a post to give more details...I was just the cheerleader on the sidelines.

Our St. George excursion started out Wednesday...our plan was to be on our way around 5:15ish, but that never ever happens, it was 7 when we left. Anyways we arrived in Mesquite around 12:30am Utah time and Kamri woke up...WIDE awake. So we got to stay up with her for a couple hours. She finally fell asleep, but she has this little alarm clock in her that says 6:30 rise and shine...and that is what she did. Anyways we got up ate breakfast, swam, took a nap and checked out. We took the kids to the arcade, ate lunch and headed to St. George to the house we rented for 3 nights with my family. We were the first ones there. The house was great. Perfect for what we needed. 4 bedrooms, 4 baths, with a den (pull out couch), theatre room, swimming pool and hot tub! It was great. We just hung out that night and waited for everyone to arrive. Friday came and we got up got ready and went to the expo. Last couple times we went were great, but this year...well let me just say we didn't have kids with us the other times and this time we did! Anyways, after that we ate at the Olive Garden so the runners could get their carbs. It took us 2 hours in the restaurant...too long for a 1 year old who doesn't sit still. After that we went back to the house and just hung out. It was so nice having the swimming pool in the backyard...the kids were there all the time. It was great! We ordered Pizza Factory Pizza for dinner. That night I started to feel sick to my stomach, I felt like I got food poisoning. So I was up all night either vomiting or sitting on the toilet (that is the most polite way for me to say it, just imagine the worst!) Poor Andy had to run the next day and got zero sleep. After I vomit he would have to go in and spit because he was dry heaving. Poor guy! So we got up ate breakfast and headed to the race to cheer them on in the rain. It was fun and cold. After the race we went back to the house and tried to let the runners relax. We ended up going to Golden Corral for dinner (easy place for a large group). Then we went back and hung out some more. Sunday came, we packed up and headed out.

It was so much fun. I love going to St. George. Staying in a rental house was the way to do it. It saves you tons of money. Breakfast: Cereal, plus you can bring home left overs and it was cheaper than a hotel room, especially that weekend. Thanks to all my family for making this trip a great one.

People in my family who went: Mom and Dad, Dave, Kris, and kids, Erin, Ted and kids, my family, Stef and baby in her tummy, and Mari, Tyler and family (who need to stay with us next time). It was a great time. Hopefully more of my family will come next time!

GOOD JOB TO ALL THE BRAVE RUNNERS OUT THERE!

3 Months Along, Due April 18th!

Just wanted to let you all know that I am 3 months pregnant! This little one will the finale, the caboose, the last hurrah, the end, book closed! We will have a total of six kids, Anycia-16, AJ-14, McKade-9, Jadyn-6, Kamri-1, and now little baby! We are very excited. When we told the kids here are their responses:
Anycia-"Cool."
AJ-"Cool."
McKade-"Can we have twin boys?"
Jadyn-"I hope its a girl, boys are mean!"
Kamri-too young to understand
When I told my parents I gave them a riddle:
What do these two problems have in common?
19+1=20 (total grandchildren my parents will have)
1+5=6 (total kids Andy and I will have)
They both got it right away.
So I thought my siblings would figure it out too...so I text them all with the same riddle. Only one of my sisters got the answer. The rest of them said 1, +, =. I just laughed at them and told them. I never give them a riddle or problems to figure out so I figured they would get it...but nope.
Anyways, Andy and I are excited and can't wait to see if it is a boy or a girl. I don't care either way. Andy wants a boy, but don't most men? So we have a bet. I keep telling him it will be a boy and he keeps saying it will be a girl. So if it is a girl he gets $1000 to do what he pleases with. and if it is a boy then he has doubled it, I get $2000 to do as I please! I get the better deal!
So we will find out the beginning of December!

September 28 - Upper Provo

Holly, Kamri and I went up and had a picnic and hike with Holly's family. Lots of fun.

Here is Kamri. Not sure if she was mumbling her little secret language or whatever, but her hair was doing cool things.

Kamri turned 1 years old on September 21st!

Kamri got a cute new princess ride-on toy from her Grandma and Grandpa Thacker. She loves it. It makes all kind of noises and lights up. She thought it was so neat.
We tried to get her interested in opening the presents but she could have cared less. She just wanted to go run around...nothing could get her attention to just sit there and open things. So I let her siblings and cousins open them for her.
Here's her little cake that we made just for her to dig into. She had a hard time at first...Anycia had to stick her finger into it to show her it was yummy. But after that she had a blast. I thought for sure she was going to get sick from all the sugar.
Here she is shoving a huge piece of cake in her mouth. Then after that she was done. She said "out, out". She is s funny. So knows a few words, besides mama and dada, she will say "out" to get out of her high chair and "out" to go outside. She will say "up" when she wants you to pick her up. She will say "uh-oh" when she drops something. She is very smart. She knows what she wants and will pull your hand in the direction of what she wants you to do or get. She even knows how to throw herself down on the ground for a temper tantrum. She will sit down hard on her bum and throw her head back...she has learned to not do it as hard on the wood floors but sometimes she does it right by a wall and I feel bad that she just bonked her head, but I also want to laugh and say see you shouldn't do that. I finally got tough enough (two weeks ago) to let her cry it out in the middle of the night. I used to get up with her 3 or 4 times a night...now I get a full nights sleep, it is great! She is our precious little girl who brings laughter and joy to our family. We all love her dearly and are happy she joined our family.
Happy Birthday sweet little Doodle Bug! We love you so much!

Homecoming

Homecoming 2008 (Junior Year) Anycia and her date Thomas Sprouse
SO CUTE!
What a beautiful young woman!
Our little Anycia growing up so fast. This is her Junior Year Homecoming. She has become such a beautiful young woman. We are so proud of her.
She went to Homecoming with this boy named Thomas who lives near us. I was told by her friend that he has a huge crush on her. Anyways, they went to breakfast, then to boondocks for the day date, came home got ready for dinner and the dance. She said he didn't talk much. I think it's because he likes her and didn't want to mess things up...plus he was a shy boy. All in all she had a good time.

Catching up...

Andy and the new carrier...thanks to Chris and Val. He will carry Kamri all over...but she is getting a little big, she love to just run around.
Another cute photo of the two. Kamri has her Mermaid Cowgirl hat on.
Kamri is scared of the vacuum but she will hold your hand to help.
Jadyn is being a good big sister to help with Kamri.
Life at the Yergensen household has been bit crazy. Always does when school starts.
Anycia is playing soccer on the Wasatch Girls Varsity Soccer and is doing really well. She can fill in where ever and when ever her coach needs her to be. She was a good soccer player last year but this year she has improved so much and plays to well. We are so proud of her and her progress. She loves this game! Keep up the good work Anycia!
Soccer for the little kids has also started. We have games on Tuesdays and Saturdays. I am coaching Jadyn's team this year. U8 girls. They play 7v7 with no goalie. It is super hard because they just bunch up the whole time. I have a few girls that are clueless and just run with the crowd and when the ball comes near them they run away. Oh well they might learn some day. It is fun to coach Jadyn. McKade is playing on his dad's team. He likes to play goalie...not sure why but he does. Just glad they like to get out and play. (I will post pictures when I have chance to take them).
My sister Mari is student teaching up here and we get to see her and her cute little family a lot more and that is real nice.
Andy is still training for his 3rd St. George Marathon. He ran 20 miles yesterday. I am so proud of him and jealous that he has the ambition to keep up the good work. He is such a good example to his family for trying to keep in shape and stay healthy. I know the dedication it takes to run such a long race because I have to let him go run for 3 hours...it is hard! Harder for him because he has to actually run it. One day I will run a marathon with him in Hawaii...there is one every second weekend in December in Honolulu. That is my one and only marathon I will do...eventually! Hopefully some of you will join us! Anyways, I love you babe and keep up the good hard work...only 3 weeks away!
AJ doesn't live here but from what I have been hearing he has a girlfriend...he is only 14! NAUGHTY BOY! Stay away from girls they are just trouble! I have also heard that he is playing awesome soccer lately. GOOD JOB AJ! We can't wait to see you in a few weeks.
My parents just got back from an Alaskan Cruise for 2 weeks. They had a blast but were very worn out. Glad your home safely and thanks for the souvenirs.
Well now that I have rambled on and on I will go. Hopefully it won't take me so long next to post. But here is my problem...I used to post at work and now they have blocked Blogger from our computers because too many people were on it. They actually think we should work at work...what are they thinking? So I will try harder to get things posted sooner. See ya!

Free Concert at the Homestead

This is my niece Alyia she is in her aerobic workout leg warmers!
Mari Say CHEESE!!
Tyler laying on the blanket!
My sister Mari called and asked us to go to the concert with them. Since I had nothing else to do I decided it might be fun! Just kidding Mari, I am happy you called. I don't even remember the name of the band but they were good. I was running around following Kamri everywhere. She is not scared of anyone. She will just walk up and stare...and stare...and stare. She is so funny. She picked some flowers and had fun.
Thanks Mari and Ty for inviting us!

1st Day of School

I know I am a little late at posting this but here are the cute photos of the kids on their first day of school. McKade and Jadyn were so excited to go they had to leave right at 8:10, even though school doesn't start until 8:45. They ride their bikes everyday and just love to go...the only complaints are homework but they are slowly getting better.
Anycia had a soccer game the first day of school so she wasn't dressed much because they wore a team outfit. But she still looked cute!

Mowing the front lawn

I know she is in her diaper...but hey you gotta be white trash sometimes to make the neighbors feel better! Just kidding!

Kamri loves to help daddy mow the lawn. OK so she just loves to be outside with her Dad doing anything...even eating rocks or running across the road to visit the neighbor dog Daisy. She is on the go ALL the time! Can't wait for our backyard to be done so she can just run wild!

Andy visits Tahoe Yergensens

Last week I flew into Sacramento to spend a few days with Chris, Val, Lief and Liv. They picked me up at the airport and took me back to their home in Eldorado Hills. This was my first visit since they moved up to NorCal 5 years ago. I know, I am a bad brother.

I was only with them for 3 and a half days, but we crammed lots of fun into that short amount of time, and saw lots of cool things.

I think they had a fun time showing me around their community, where Chris teaches school, their house they are renting, the park, the library they go to, and tumble time.

My favorite time was seeing and playing the Empire Ranch Golf Course and Lake Tahoe, but I had lots of fun walking to the park with all of them and kicking the soccer ball around with Leafy and Chris, and swimming at Mont Bleu in Tahoe too.

Both Lief (Age 3) and Liv (Age 15 months) travel real well. The first day we were in the van for about an hour or two, but the next day we drove for about 4 -5 hours. I was also impressed by how well they listen and behave. Obviously Chris and Val are doing a great job.

On our trip to Tahoe...they took me by their house they rent out in Pollock Pines, and they showed me the golf course near their. It was Applesomething or other. What a beautiful course. I will definitely have to play there next time. After a stop for a subway we were off to Tahoe.

Chris took the long way, and although I was anxious to get to Tahoe for the gambling and swimming pool, I was glad they took me to the Rainbow Trail and to see the Emerald Bay part of Tahoe.

Here is Chris and Val at the start of the Hike.
Here is the view from the stream profile chamber

On the last day I was there before they took me to th airport, we went to Empire Ranch Golf Course Driving Range. I wanted to see Lief hit the golf ball.

Here is a video I took.

Anyway, it was a fun trip and really cool to see Lief and meet Liv for the first time.
Oh, I almost forgot... I bought Holly two pairs of shoes from the Pearl Izumi Outlet in Tahoe, that was a little bonus!

PROVO RIVER HALF MARATHON

So today was the big day...We got up at 4am met my brother and his wife to ride down to Provo. We checked in then hopped on a bus and away we went. We stood in line for the yucky port-a- potties and went to the starting line. It was crazy...not sure how many people, my sister-in-laws bib number was in the 2200's. Anyways, the race started late and it was down hill for the first 5 miles. I was starting to get blisters so I stopped to put some stuff on my feet. Andy had to go potty so he told me he would catch up...and he did. He was ever so kind to run with me. I had not been training very well and the farthest I had run was 6 miles so my feet were not at all prepared. I was so disappointed in myself. About mile 11 I came to a brick wall with my feet and had to walk most of way to the finish line. My brother and his wife were waiting to cheer me on and walked with us for a little bit. They suggested I take my shoes off, so I did and I wish I would have done that a long time ago. It felt so much better. So I ran the rest of the way in socks!
Right now I am lying in bed and I am really sore and I did something to my left ankle, but overall it was a great experience and a very needed learning experience! Things I learned: I need to train better (duh!), I need to wear better running socks, and I need to lube up my feet so I won't get blisters. I will do another one but I will take into consideration my learning experience and not have problems! My goal was to finish in 2 hrs 30 minutes, but since I ended up walking a lot I finished in 2 hours 42 minutes. So if I would have ran the last 2.1 miles I could have made my goal and maybe even beat it. Oh Well, it was my first one and I am just happy I finished!
Thanks Andrew for running me and encouraging me! You are such a trooper!

Emergency Room Scare

Kamri had a fever for a day but it hadn't gotten too high. So we figured it was from teething. but in the night she sky rocketed. I took her to Andrew to hold while I went to get her medicine. He said she is way too hot we have got to take her to the emergency room. So we got our shoes on and away we went. We arrived at the emergency room and it was so quiet. They took her temperature the most accurate way...in the bum...poor girl. Anyways, she was 104.2! To my surprise I hadn't been giving her enough medicine. So they woke the doctor up and he took a look at her said she just had virus, but they want to take blood and a urine test just in case. So we stuck a pee bag on her and sucked blood. Her white blood cell count was low but she just would not pee. (we sat there for an hour waiting) So we took her home and after a few miserable days and nights she got better. She is now back to her happy little self...running into things, getting bruises and being the happy smiley Kamri we had missed! So happy you are feeling better, my little doodle bug!

THE BIG FAMILY CAMPOUT!

We went up to my sisters and brother-in-laws family cabin for the weekend for a family camp out and family photo.
We arrived Friday night around 9. My brother set up one of our tents and we bought another one…our family is just too big for one! After that we sat by the fire and tried to do the one word story around the circle…it was pretty fun with ages 5-57 playing makes it real interesting.
We woke up the next morning made breakfast and the kids played in the river and floated down it. Some jumped into the “hole”. It took their breath away but they did again…
After lunch around 3 it was time to start getting ready for the BIG family picture. Yes everyone in my family, my parents, and siblings and their families! It was quite interesting trying to get about 35 people ready in a one bathroom cabin. But we did it!
After the family photo we ate Dutch oven dinner! Chicken, Potatoes, and Cobbler! How come when you camp all you feel like you do is eat n eat n eat! I made a butt load of muddy buddies and they were all gone in about 5 hours of everyone munching on them. My sister made a really big 7 layer dip and it was gone in about 15 minutes…we must have been hungry! It was all really good yummy food!
Sunday, we all started packing up…kids played in the river again. We had a bunch of fun being together as a family and just hanging out! Can’t wait to do it again next year!
