July 4th, 2012

We had a great July 4th. Dad woke up and made us a lovely breakfast. He made sausage egg and cheese mcmuffin. It was delicious!
Kamri, Kennedi, and I went shoe shopping. My favorite sandals broke and I needed some new ones so of course the girls got new ones too. They got silver sparkley jeweled sandals with heels. They absolutely love them.
After we came and picked up Dad to go to the movies. We took the girls to their first movie theater to see Brave. It was lots of fun. The girls enjoyed it. Kamri got scared at the bear fighting scene and
Kennedi isn't into movies yet. She did ok but didnt really sit and watch the movie for more than 10 minutes at a time.
We took AJ, Kam, Kenn, Dad and I to Cafe Rio for dinner. Came home got our chairs and blankets and drive up to the Ridge to watch the St. George City Firework show. It was beautiful.

This is one of my favorite July 4th songs Proud to be an American (lyrics are below):
If tomorrow all the things were gone,
I’d worked for all my life.
And I had to start again,
with just my children and my wife.
I’d thank my lucky stars,
to be livin here today.
‘ Cause the flag still stands for freedom,
and they can’t take that away.
And I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.
And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘ Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.
From the lakes of Minnesota,
to the hills of Tennessee.
Across the plains of Texas,
From sea to shining sea.
From Detroit down to Houston,
and New York to L.A.
Well there's pride in every American heart,
and its time we stand and say.
That I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.
And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘ Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.
And I’m proud to be and American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.
And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘ Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.
